Description

The HDview IP 8-channel PoE NVR records up to 8MP resolution from IP cameras connected via Power over Ethernet, with an 8TB surveillance-grade hard drive pre-installed. H.265 video compression reduces file sizes by up to 50% compared to H.264 while maintaining the same image quality, extending storage capacity and reducing bandwidth demand on the network.

Designed for continuous 24/7 recording in commercial, retail and residential security installations, the NVR supports multiple recording modes including continuous, scheduled, motion detection and intelligent event-triggered recording. Intelligent analytics include line cross detection and perimeter intrusion detection, allowing the system to flag specific events rather than recording undifferentiated motion. The PoE ports supply power and data over a single Ethernet cable to each connected camera, supporting cable runs up to 250m per channel.

The HDMI output delivers up to 4K resolution for live viewing and playback on a connected monitor. Simultaneous playback, recording and remote viewing mean you can review footage on the local monitor while the system continues to record and while remote users access the feed via the companion mobile app. USB backup allows footage to be transferred to a flash drive for evidence collection or archiving. The metal enclosure measures 436mm wide, 291mm deep and 81mm high, fitting standard rack-mount configurations or sitting on a shelf in a server room or security office.

Frequently Asked

What cameras are compatible with this NVR?

The NVR accepts IP cameras from any manufacturer that support ONVIF protocol, as long as the camera resolution does not exceed 8MP. The eight PoE ports supply power and data to compatible cameras over a single Ethernet cable per channel.

How long does 8TB record for?

Recording duration depends on camera resolution, frame rate, compression codec and scene complexity. As a rough guide, 8TB stores approximately 30-45 days of continuous 8MP footage across eight cameras using H.265 compression at standard frame rates. Motion-triggered recording extends this significantly.

Can I access the NVR remotely?

Yes. The NVR supports remote monitoring via the companion mobile app for iOS and Android. Remote access requires the NVR to be connected to a network with internet access and port forwarding or cloud relay configured during setup.

What's included in the box?

The box contains the NVR unit with 8TB surveillance HDD pre-installed, mains power supply, HDMI cable, Ethernet patch cable, mounting brackets, screws and the product manual. Cameras are sold separately.
