Description

The HDview IP is an 8-channel network video recorder designed for PoE (Power over Ethernet) IP camera systems, recording up to 8MP resolution per channel with H.265 video compression. A 4TB surveillance-grade hard drive is pre-installed, providing extended storage capacity for continuous or motion-triggered recording across all channels.

Designed for residential, retail and small commercial installations where multiple IP cameras need centralised recording and management, the NVR supports up to 250m cable runs per channel when using Cat5e or Cat6 cabling. The front panel provides status LEDs for power, network activity and HDD operation, while the rear panel carries the 8 PoE ports, HDMI output (up to 4K resolution), LAN port for network connection, and USB ports for evidence backup to external drives.

The NVR includes intelligent detection features such as line cross detection and perimeter intrusion detection, which can trigger alerts and specific recording actions when motion crosses user-defined boundaries in the camera view. Remote monitoring is supported via a mobile app, allowing playback, live view and system management from iOS or Android devices. Simultaneous playback, recording and remote viewing is supported without interrupting the recording stream.

Recording modes include continuous (24/7), scheduled (time-based), motion detection (triggered by movement) and intelligent (triggered by smart detection events). The H.265 compression reduces file sizes compared to H.264 without sacrificing image quality, extending the effective storage duration on the 4TB drive. USB backup allows footage segments to be exported to flash drives or external HDDs for evidence transfer or archival purposes.

Yes. A 4TB surveillance-grade hard drive is pre-installed and formatted, ready for immediate use once cameras are connected and configured.

What is the maximum cable run length per camera?

The NVR supports up to 250m cable runs per PoE channel when using Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. Beyond this distance, signal quality and PoE power delivery may degrade.

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes. The NVR supports remote monitoring via a mobile app for iOS and Android devices, allowing live view, playback and system management over the internet. The NVR must be connected to a router with internet access for remote functionality.
