Description

The HDview IP 8MP 4-channel PoE NVR records from up to four IP cameras at 8MP resolution using H.265 video compression to reduce storage demands without sacrificing image quality. An 8TB surveillance-grade hard drive comes pre-installed, providing weeks of continuous recording capacity depending on camera settings and activity levels. Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies cabling by delivering power and data to connected cameras over a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable per channel.

Designed for residential and small commercial installations, the NVR supports intelligent detection features including line cross and perimeter intrusion detection, which trigger recording and alerts when motion crosses a defined boundary rather than relying on basic motion detection across the entire frame. The unit allows simultaneous playback, live viewing and remote access via the companion mobile app, so footage can be reviewed without interrupting ongoing recording or live monitoring.

The HDMI output supports 4K resolution for detailed playback on compatible monitors, while USB ports on the front panel enable quick evidence transfer to flash drives without needing to access the internal drive. Each PoE channel supports cable runs up to 250m, allowing cameras to be positioned at property boundaries or in outbuildings without requiring additional network switches or power injectors. The metal chassis measures 436mm wide by 81mm high and includes front-panel status LEDs for power, network and hard drive activity.

What's the maximum cable length per camera?

Each PoE channel supports cable runs up to 250m using Cat5e or Cat6 cable. Beyond 250m you would need a PoE extender or network switch to maintain signal integrity and power delivery.

Does the 8TB drive provide enough storage?

Storage duration depends on camera resolution, frame rate and activity levels. With four 8MP cameras recording continuously at H.265 compression, the 8TB drive typically provides 2-4 weeks of footage. Motion-triggered recording extends this significantly.

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes. The NVR supports remote viewing via the HDview mobile app on iOS and Android. You can view live feeds, review recorded footage and receive alerts when away from the property, provided the NVR is connected to your network with internet access.
