Description

The HDview HC816R is a 16-channel PoE network video recorder supporting up to 8MP resolution per channel, with H.265 video compression and a pre-installed 2TB surveillance hard drive. The NVR accepts PoE camera feeds directly over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable run up to 250m per channel, eliminating the need for separate power supplies at camera locations.

Designed for commercial and residential security installations requiring continuous 24/7 recording, the HC816R offers four recording modes: continuous, scheduled, motion detection, and intelligent detection triggered by line crossing or perimeter intrusion. The NVR can record, play back existing footage, and stream to remote viewing simultaneously without interruption. HDMI output supports up to 4K resolution for local monitoring via a connected display.

The 2TB capacity handles approximately 12-14 days of continuous 8MP recording across all 16 channels at moderate compression settings, with longer retention when motion-triggered recording is used instead of continuous. USB ports on the front panel allow evidence transfer to external drives without removing the internal storage. Remote monitoring is supported via the HDview mobile app for iOS and Android, providing access to live and recorded footage from offsite locations.

The metal chassis measures 526mm wide and fits standard rack-mount installations or sits horizontally on a shelf. Cooling is handled by internal fans that pull air through ventilation slots on the sides, requiring 50-100mm clearance on each side to maintain airflow. The unit ships with the 2TB drive pre-installed and formatted, requiring only network and camera connections to begin recording.
