A ceiling plate is a small piece of hardware that does a great deal for the look of a hanging light, and this one is a solid round disc, 23cm across, in antique brass. There is no central hole, so the face stays unbroken and reads as a plain circle of warm, softly aged brass. The section is shallow and the metal has real weight in the hand rather than feeling thin and pressed.
