Hanok Middle Connector 48mm Long - White

This is the small white joining piece that sits mid-run in a suspended lighting arrangement, supplied with its AC wire and rosette so power can be carried on from one point to the next. The body is a shallow disc, wider than it is deep, and it stays quietly in the background above the fitting it feeds. Its white finish is plain, meant to settle into a pale ceiling rather than catch the eye. The drop it allows is adjustable across a wide span, from a short hang out to 2.1m, so the light below can be set at the height a room actually wants.

We reach for it when a Hanok linear pendant has to hang away from the ceiling point rather than directly beneath it, or when a run of cable needs continuing along a line. That makes it useful over kitchen islands, long dining tables, reception desks and workshop benches, anywhere the light wants to sit over the middle of the room while the supply arrives somewhere else. Keep it to dry indoor rooms; it is not intended for bathroom zones, porches or anywhere it might meet damp. It is an accessory rather than a light in its own right, so nothing lamps into it.

It is an earthed part, so it belongs on a circuit that carries an earth through to it. Cleaning asks very little: switch the circuit off, run a dry cloth over the white cover, and leave the cable itself alone. It carries a one year warranty. How much drop can I set with it?

Anywhere from 100mm at its shortest up to 2100mm, so it covers everything from a tight hang to a long run over a stairwell or a high-ceilinged kitchen.

How big is the joiner itself?

It is 48mm deep with a 100mm face, so it reads as a low disc against the ceiling rather than a bulky housing.

Does it take a lamp?

No. It is a cable joiner with its AC wire and rosette, and any lamping belongs to the linear pendant or ceiling light it feeds.

Is it suitable for a bathroom or an outdoor canopy?

No. It is rated IP20 and should stay in dry indoor rooms, away from splashes, steam and weather.

How should I clean it?

Turn the circuit off, then wipe the white cover with a soft dry cloth. Avoid solvents and sprays, and do not let moisture reach the cable or the joint.
