The Hampstead 1 Light Pendant is a single-lamp fitting that pairs a heavy prismatic cast smoked glass shade with a black steel frame. The glass has real weight and depth to it, and the prismatic surface breaks up the light so it catches and scatters as it passes through. The result is a warm, textured glow rather than a flat wash. Its shape is bold and sculptural without being fussy, so it reads as contemporary while still sitting comfortably alongside more traditional pieces.

This is an interior fitting, well suited to a kitchen island, a dining table or a hallway where you want a clear focal point overhead. Hung singly it works over a breakfast bar or a bedside spot, and it groups neatly in a row above a longer surface. The adjustable drop makes it easy to set the height to match your ceiling, whether you have a low room or a taller open-plan space. It carries a two-year guarantee.

The frame is finished in black and built from steel, with the smoked glass shade fixed below. It comes with two longer rods and two shorter rods, so you can build the drop to suit the room and choose from a range of heights between the minimum and maximum. The bulb is not included: the fitting takes a single E27 lamp up to 60W, so colour temperature and brightness depend on the bulb you choose. It works with dimmable lamps on a compatible dimmer. As a Class I fitting it needs an earthed connection and should be installed by a qualified electrician. To clean, switch off and wipe the glass and frame with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid sprays and abrasive cleaners, which can mark the finish and dull the glass over time.
