Description

The Grand Ball is a 40cm spherical pendant light with a copper-mirrored glass shade suspended on a 150cm cable from a matching copper canopy. The shade is a single blown-glass globe coated on the inside with a copper mirror finish, giving it the appearance of polished solid copper from the outside while reflecting and warming the light from within.

Suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, stairwells and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the pendant works as a single feature over a round table or grouped in clusters of three at staggered drops over a longer island. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation to set the shade 700-800mm above a dining surface, and the canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The mirrored copper exterior reflects the surrounding room, picking up colours and movement so the pendant changes character throughout the day. When the E27 bulb is switched on, light bleeds through the partially translucent base of the globe and casts a warm coppery wash onto the surface below. The fitting takes a single E27 GLS filament bulb (sold separately), and a clear or amber filament bulb is the most flattering choice as the bulb itself is partially visible through the open base.

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A clear or amber GLS filament bulb works best because the bulb is partially visible through the open base of the globe and a decorative filament adds to the look when lit.

Is the shade real copper?
