Description

Clear crystal over a polished silver base, this is a shallow round fitting that sits tight against the ceiling and pushes a bright, cool white light out through the glass. The LED is built in and draws 12W, so there is nothing to replace and nothing to match up when you buy it. Output is fixed rather than dimmable, coming on at full strength from an ordinary switch, and at 28cm across it reads as a neat disc rather than a centrepiece.

It is one we reach for where a pendant would hang too low: hallways, landings, a small bedroom, the top of a staircase. The cool white tone gives clarity rather than an evening glow, which makes it useful in a utility room, a home office or a dressing area where you want to see properly. A single fitting is usually all a space of that size asks for, and that is how we tend to spec it. Rooms need to be dry and indoors, clear of steam and splashing, and it wires into the normal domestic mains.

The crystal is clear throughout and the metal is finished in polished silver, with the driver tucked inside the body and the whole thing double insulated. Keep it looking right by switching off at the wall, letting it go cold and going over the crystal with a lint free cloth; nothing abrasive, and no sprays near the LED.
