Freida 6 Light Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - French Gold & Ivory

The Freida is a 500mm semi-flush ceiling light with six E14 bulb fittings housed behind a cylindrical ivory cream organza shade, suspended from a French gold canopy. Crystal beads cascade from the canopy through the centre of the shade, terminating in hexagonal crystal drops below the fabric drum. The semi-flush mount sits approximately 50mm below the ceiling, giving the fitting a total drop of 520mm including the crystal drops.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Freida provides ambient light diffused through the ivory organza while the crystal beads add decorative sparkle. The six E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the fabric, with the organza softening direct glare and casting a warm glow across walls and ceilings. The 500mm diameter suits rooms of 12-18m² where a central ceiling fitting is the primary light source.

The French gold finish on the metal frame and canopy carries a soft antique tone rather than a bright yellow gold, pairing comfortably with warm neutrals, creams, and traditional wood furniture. The ivory organza has a fine weave that allows light transmission while masking the bulb silhouettes when lit. What bulbs does the Freida take?

The fitting takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient living room or bedroom lighting.

Is the Freida dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no dimming restriction, but non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 520mm total drop (including crystal drops below the shade) works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceilinged rooms the crystal drops may hang closer to head height than comfortable for a central fitting.

How is the organza shade cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Remove dust from the organza with a soft brush or low-suction vacuum attachment. For the crystal beads and drops, wipe gently with a barely-damp microfibre cloth and dry immediately to prevent water spotting.
