The Freida is a 2-light crystal wall light built around a French gold-plated metal frame that supports an ivory cream organza drum shade, cascading strands of round crystal beads, and slim hexagonal crystal drops. Two E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the shade, casting light through the organza fabric and down through the crystal strands, which refract the light into scattered warm highlights across surrounding walls.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms in classical, traditional and transitional interiors, the Freida pairs decorative presence with functional ambient and accent lighting. The 350mm width and 520mm height suit wall spaces where a single wall light provides both illumination and a focal point without overwhelming narrower hallway widths or alcoves. The 200mm projection from the wall allows the crystal strands to hang freely without pressing against the wall surface, giving depth to the fitting when viewed from the side.

The French gold finish on the frame carries a warm antique tone that differentiates it from bright polished gold or cooler brass finishes, sitting comfortably alongside warmer paint colours, aged wood tones, and cream or taupe textiles. The organza shade softens the light output and reduces glare from the bulbs, while the crystal beads and drops add movement and sparkle when the light is on. The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the warm tone of the French gold frame and cream shade.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the lighting circuit. The fitting itself supports dimming — bulb choice determines whether dimming actually functions.

What wall fixing is needed?

The fitting weighs 1.7kg and requires secure fixing into a solid wall, brick, or timber stud. Plasterboard-only fixing is not recommended without appropriate fixings rated for the weight. A standard wall light back plate is used for wiring and mounting.

How is the organza shade cleaned?

The cream organza fabric can be dusted gently with a soft brush or lint roller. For deeper cleaning, the shade can be removed from the frame and lightly vacuumed on the lowest setting with a brush attachment. Avoid washing the fabric as organza can water-spot. The crystal strands can be wiped with a barely-damp microfibre cloth and dried immediately to prevent water marks.
