Description

The Florence Rectangle is a 615mm crystal table lamp built around a hollow rectangular frame of faceted crystal blocks, supported on an antique brass stem and rectangular base. A cream pleated fabric shade sits above the crystal frame, housing a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The crystal frame catches and refracts light from the bulb above and any ambient light in the room, creating small reflections across the crystal facets.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables in entrance halls, and side tables in living rooms, the Florence pairs task lighting with decorative presence. The 380mm width and 190mm depth mean it suits narrow console surfaces and standard bedside table depths without overhang. The antique brass finish on the base and stem provides a warm metallic foundation that contrasts with the cooler clarity of the crystal and the soft neutral of the cream shade.

The rectangular crystal frame is formed from individual facet-cut crystal blocks arranged in a continuous loop. Each block is approximately 40mm square and set at alternating angles to catch light from different directions as you move past the lamp. The cream shade is pleated silk-effect fabric on a metal ring frame, diffusing the E27 bulb's output into soft ambient light rather than focused task light. The combined weight of crystal, brass and shade gives the lamp a stable 3kg presence on a surface.

The Florence takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself has no built-in dimming mechanism, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb you choose.

What surface depth does it need?

The base footprint is 190mm deep by 380mm wide. It suits standard bedside tables (typically 400-450mm deep) and console tables (typically 300-400mm deep) without overhang.

How is the crystal maintained?

The faceted crystal blocks can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works well. Avoid household glass cleaners or sprays that might leave residue on the antique brass or fabric shade.
