Description
The Flara is a 530mm linear LED wall light with a matt black metal body housing an integrated 23W LED strip that emits 3000K warm white light. The fitting projects just 75mm from the wall, making it a low-profile option for rooms where deeper wall lights would obstruct circulation or compete with furniture placement.
Designed for hallways, bedroom accent walls, and living room feature zones, the Flara delivers ambient wash lighting rather than directional task light. The 530mm length suits walls between alcoves, above sideboards, or flanking doorways where a linear element adds visual balance. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas only. The fitting mounts to a standard UK back box and connects to mains 230V — no separate driver or transformer is needed.
The matt black finish on the metal body absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping the focus on the illuminated wall surface rather than the fitting itself. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated for approximately 30,000 hours of continuous use, equivalent to roughly ten years at eight hours per day. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, closer to halogen than cool daylight, and pairs well with neutral and warm interior palettes.
Ideal Lux manufactures the Flara in Italy and backs it with a five-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and LED failure under normal domestic use.

Frequently Asked
Is the Flara dimmable?
No. The integrated LED operates at fixed 23W output on 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing a dimmer may damage the internal driver.
Can it be mounted vertically as well as horizontally?
Yes. The 530mm bar can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on the wall space and desired effect. Vertical mounting works well flanking mirrors or doorways.
What colour is the light output?
The integrated LED emits 3000K warm white light, comparable to a traditional halogen bulb. This sits warmer than neutral white (4000K) and cooler than extra-warm vintage filament lamps (2200K-2700K).
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress. It must be used in dry indoor areas only — not bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any room where steam or splashing occurs.
