Description

The Knightsbridge VFCFC is a fixed GU10 fire-rated downlight with a chrome bezel, built around a pressed steel housing designed to maintain fire integrity in ceilings for 30, 60 or 90 minutes depending on the substrate. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 35W (sold separately) and provides fast-fix installation via spring clips and push-fit terminals.

Designed for residential new-build, refurbishment and commercial projects where Building Regulations require fire-rated downlights, the VFCFC suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and offices. The 65mm cut-out fits standard ceiling joist spacings and the 150mm minimum void depth accommodates most modern timber-frame and web-joist constructions. The chrome bezel sits 4mm proud of the ceiling surface once fitted, giving a low-profile finish that suits both modern and traditional interiors.

Fire-rating certification covers 30/60/90 minutes for solid timber joists, 30 minutes for web-joist systems and 30 minutes for I-joist (Staircraft) constructions, meeting UK Building Regulations Part B requirements for compartmentation. The push-fit terminals accept loop-in/loop-out wiring without requiring a screwdriver, reducing installation time on multi-downlight runs. When fitted with a 6W or lower LED GU10, the fitting carries IC (insulation contact) rating, meaning insulation can be laid directly over the housing without overheating risk.

The chrome finish provides a neutral metallic accent that pairs with both warm and cool colour schemes.
