Description

The Fiora is a 600mm alabaster wall light built around two vertical cylinders of natural Spanish alabaster, joined at the centre by a satin nickel band that mounts the fixture to the wall. An integrated 8W LED inside the body throws warm 3000K light up and down through the stone, turning each 80mm-diameter column into a softly glowing vertical bar rather than a single point of light.

The proportions suit hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms where a tall, narrow wall light reads better than a square or round sconce. Mounted in pairs either side of a bed or a mirror, the Fiora frames the wall with two columns of soft light at roughly head height. The 180mm projection holds the alabaster clear of the wall so light can wash both up and down across the surface behind.

Each alabaster column is cut from natural stone, so the fine veining and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The satin nickel band gives a low-sheen metallic break between the two columns, sitting flush against the wall plate. Combined with the solid copper internal frame, the build feels substantial without being heavy in the visual field, and the cool tone of the nickel pairs comfortably with both warm and grey-toned interiors.

Can the Fiora be used in a bathroom?

The specification does not list an IP rating, so the Fiora should be treated as an indoor non-bathroom fitting. For mirror-side bathroom lighting please choose a wall light with a stated IP44 rating or higher.

Does it light up and down or only outwards?

Both. The two alabaster columns extend above and below the central satin nickel band, so the integrated LED throws warm light vertically up and down through the stone, washing the wall above and below the fixture.
