Description

This is a compact single circuit track head finished in black, with the LED and its driver built into the body. The head is a short cylinder, 65mm across, drawing 20W and putting out about 2000 lumens of warm white light. There is no lamp to buy or replace. It is not dimmable, so it works at full output from whatever switch feeds the track.

Track lighting earns its keep where one supply has to cover several pools of light, and a head this size suits kitchen runs, a hall hung with pictures, shelving in a shop or a home office corner. Heads can be added along the track and slid to sit over what matters, then moved again when the furniture changes. We reach for these in rooms where a grid of recessed lights would be a nuisance, so they work well in rented flats and loft conversions. The warm tone sits kindly on timber, brick and warm paint, and reads better there than a cooler white would.

The black finish runs the full length of the body, which keeps the head quiet against a dark track and lets it read as a shadow against a pale ceiling. Double insulated, and meant for indoor rooms out of the wet. Cleaning asks very little: kill the power at the switch, let the head cool, then run a dry cloth over the housing and lift dust off the lens with a soft brush. Nothing abrasive, and no sprays near the optic. It carries a five year warranty. We stock the same head in white, and both finishes in a crisper white light, with versions made for multi-circuit track too. The LED is fixed, so there is nothing to unpack but the fitting itself.
