Description

The Evelyn is a 430mm table lamp built around a polished chrome stem and base, with a square panel of faceted crystal set into the chrome frame behind a pleated black fabric shade. Two E27 bulbs inside the shade light both through the black fabric and through the crystal panel, creating a combination of diffused ambient light and sparkle from the cut crystals.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and sideboards where decorative accent lighting is needed, the Evelyn delivers both task and ambient function. The 300mm diameter shade provides sufficient spread for reading at arm's length when fitted with higher-wattage bulbs, while the crystal panel adds a decorative element visible from the front and sides. The cylindrical shade has vertical pleats that run from top to bottom, softening the light output and reducing glare.

The polished chrome finish on the stem and base gives high reflectivity under room lighting, contrasting with the matte black fabric of the shade. The crystal panel comprises square-cut elements arranged in a grid, each piece catching and refracting light at different angles as you move around the lamp. At 3.3kg the lamp has enough weight to remain stable on a bedside table without needing to be weighted separately. The Evelyn takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for a combination of ambient light through the shade and sparkle through the crystal panel.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you fit dimmable E27 bulbs and connect the lamp to a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not include dimmer controls — dimming is controlled at the wall switch or via a trailing-edge dimmer module in the circuit.

How is the crystal panel positioned?

The square crystal panel sits within the polished chrome frame, behind the black fabric shade and visible through a cutout in the front and sides.
