Description

The ESP DBW4 is a white aluminium deep base designed for HDview IP 5MP dome cameras, specifically the H512VDW and H512VDWA models. The deep base adds 44mm of mounting depth beneath the camera, providing space for cable management and connections where a flush-mount installation would otherwise leave cables visible or require recessing into the ceiling or wall.

Designed for commercial CCTV installations where cable runs need to be concealed or where mounting surfaces are uneven or do not provide a clean fixing point, the deep base sits between the camera dome and the mounting surface. The 25mm cable entry accepts standard conduit or trunking, allowing mains and data cables to be fed through the base rather than looped behind it. The 130mm diameter matches the footprint of compatible dome cameras.

The aluminium construction provides structural rigidity for outdoor and indoor installations without adding excessive weight to the camera assembly. The white powder-coated finish matches the white housing option on HDview dome cameras, maintaining a consistent appearance when the base is visible beneath the camera. The base weighs 394g, adding minimal load to the mounting surface.

Frequently Asked

Which cameras is this base compatible with?

The DBW4 deep base is designed for use with the ESP HDview H512VDW and H512VDWA IP dome cameras. It may fit other dome cameras with a 130mm base diameter, but compatibility should be confirmed before purchasing.

What is the cable entry size?

The base has a 25mm cable entry, which accepts standard 25mm conduit or trunking. This allows mains and data cables to be fed through the base rather than surface-run beneath the camera.

Can it be used outdoors?

The aluminium construction and powder-coated finish are suitable for outdoor use when paired with a weatherproof dome camera. The base itself does not carry an IP rating, so the camera and base together should be installed under an overhang or soffit where direct rain ingress is minimised.

How is it fixed to the mounting surface?

The base has fixing holes around the perimeter for screws or bolts. The exact fixing method depends on the mounting surface — masonry anchors for brick or concrete, wood screws for timber, or toggle bolts for plasterboard. See the manual for the recommended fixing pattern.
