Description

The Emily is a 62cm-diameter crystal chandelier with seven E14 candle-style fittings arranged on curved arms extending from a central polished chrome column. Each arm is dressed with strands of facet-cut clear crystal that cascade down past the bulb holders, catching and refracting light from the seven candle bulbs (sold separately). A cylindrical crystal column runs down the centre of the fitting, adding a vertical line of sparkle beneath the arms.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and entrance areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Emily's adjustable drop ranges from 870mm to 1840mm, allowing the chandelier to be set at the right height relative to the table or floor below. For dining tables the typical installation height is 750-850mm above the table surface, which suits the 870mm minimum drop in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings. The polished chrome frame provides a cooler, more contemporary finish than traditional brass or antique finishes, pairing well with grey, white and monochrome interiors.

The seven-arm configuration distributes light evenly across a 620mm diameter, which suits rectangular dining tables up to 1800mm long or circular tables up to 1200mm diameter. The crystal strands are attached to the frame at multiple points and hang in vertical curtains around each arm, creating movement and sparkle when the light is switched on. At 6.2kg the chandelier requires a ceiling fixing rated for at least 10kg and a competent electrician to install safely.

What bulbs does the Emily chandelier take?

The chandelier takes seven E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Each bulb is rated up to a maximum of 40W. Most users choose LED candle bulbs between 4-6W in warm white (2700K-3000K) to mimic the appearance of traditional candle lighting while keeping running costs low.

Is the Emily dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.

What dining table size does it suit?

The 620mm diameter works well above rectangular tables up to 1800mm long or circular tables up to 1200mm diameter. The chandelier should be centred over the table and hung 750-850mm above the table surface to avoid obstructing sightlines while providing adequate task lighting.

How is the drop adjusted?
