Description

This is a small single pendant with a gilt bronze lampholder and a golden brown twisted cable, an earthy pairing that reads warmer than plain black flex. The holder is 10cm across, so it takes up very little visual room, and the cable allows up to 1.5m of drop with plenty of scope to hang it higher. It takes an E27 lamp of up to 20W, which makes it a natural home for a decorative LED filament globe or a squirrel cage. We stock it as a fitting only, so the lamp is chosen to suit the room.

We reach for pendants like this where the light wants to be honest and unfussy: in a run over a kitchen island, either side of a bed, dropped down a stairwell, or in a hallway where a wide shade would crowd the space. Hung as a group at staggered heights it gives a scheme rhythm without much outlay. Fit a dimmable lamp and pair it with a compatible dimmer and it will settle to gentle evening light as readily as it works over a worktop. It suits renters and quick refreshes as much as it does a considered room.

The gilt bronze finish is warm and slightly aged in tone, and the twist of the cable catches light along its length, which is why we prefer to see it left on show rather than tucked away. To keep it looking right, isolate the supply, let everything cool, then run a dry cloth along the holder and down the cable; polishes and sprays only dull the finish. This one is for dry rooms indoors, working from the ordinary household mains. It carries a one year warranty. The range also runs to ceiling lights in matt black, matt white, antique brass, satin nickel, polished chrome and pewter, along with frame-only curved pendants if you want something broader overhead.
