Description

A gently curved bar holds three E27 lampholders in a line, so the light spreads along a run instead of pooling in one place. The bar is finished in satin nickel with black at the holders and the suspension, which keeps the frame reading as a thin line when seen from below. It comes as a frame only, so the shades are yours to choose: glass domes, metal cones, open cages, or bare decorative lamps if you like the look of the filament. The bar runs 812mm end to end, long enough to span a table without crowding it.

This is the shape to reach for over a kitchen island, a long dining table, a breakfast bar or a run of worktop, where three separate pendants would need lining up and this does the job in one piece. The suspension adjusts across a wide span of drops, so it works under a standard ceiling and under a taller one too. We would fit warm white LED lamps here and let the shades set the character, and it is one we suggest to anyone who has already found shades they love and needs a frame worthy of them.

The frame is metal throughout, with the satin nickel giving a soft lustre that hides fingerprints better than a polished finish. Dust it with a dry duster now and then, and if the black parts dull, a barely damp cloth followed by a dry one will bring them back. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from steam and splashes. It carries a one year warranty. We also stock the same linear frame in satin black and in antique brass with black, and a round version of the frame if you would rather the lamps sat in a cluster than in a row. Shades and lamps are chosen separately.
