Description

Three E27 lampholders sit on a gently curved ring, spaced evenly so light falls in a circle rather than one pool. The frame measures 48cm across and is finished in satin nickel, with black at the lampholders and the flex. It arrives as a frame only, which means the shades are yours to pick: matching glass for a quiet look, or something bolder if the room can carry it. We like that freedom, and we stock plenty of shades that sit happily on an E27 holder.

A round frame wants a round table beneath it, and that is where we would hang this first: over a circular dining table, above a breakfast nook, or in a wide stair void where one narrow drop would look mean. Dimming is possible with suitable lamps and a dimmer added separately. Each holder takes up to 20W, which comfortably covers the LED lamps most shades are sized for, so you can keep the output modest and warm. Keep it indoors and dry; there is no protection against damp, so bathrooms and porches are out.

The satin nickel has a soft, low shine that does not show marks the way polished metal does, and the black keeps the holders visually light against a pale ceiling. For upkeep, switch off at the wall, run a dry duster along the ring and the arms, and check while you are there that the shades still sit square. It carries a one year warranty. The same round frame is offered in satin black and in antique brass with black, and there is a curved linear version for a table that is long rather than round. Lamps and shades are not included.
