Description

Three lampholders sit on gently curved arms that sweep out from a central stem, gathering into a round arrangement about 48cm across. It is sold as a frame only, so the shades are yours to pick, and the whole thing changes character depending on whether you hang glass domes, metal cones or fabric from it. The E27 holders take a wide spread of lamps, with 20W the ceiling on each, which leaves plenty of room to work in LED.

We like it over a round dining table, where a single pendant can look a little mean and a straight bar would argue with the shape of the room. It also works well in a wide hallway, or above a kitchen island that is closer to square than long. Wired to a suitable dimmer and fitted with dimmable lamps, it will drop to a low glow for the evening. It suits anyone who enjoys putting a light together piece by piece rather than buying it finished.

The satin black is a soft, low sheen rather than a hard gloss, so it holds its line against a white ceiling without glaring under the lamps. Keep it looking right with an occasional pass of a dry duster along the arms, and leave polishes and sprays out of it, since they tend to flatten the sheen. It carries a one year warranty. The same curved round frame is offered in antique brass with black and in satin nickel with black, there is a linear version of the design if your table is long, and the range also runs to compact ceiling lights in finishes from pewter to polished chrome. Shades and lamps are not included.
