Description

Curved arms sweep out from the centre and drop to three E27 lampholders, set in a ring 48cm across. Antique brass and black are used together, the warm metal reading against the darker sections as the arms turn. It comes as a frame only, which is rather the point of it: the shades are yours to pick, whether that means clear glass globes, small metal cones or fabric drums chosen to match a room you have already furnished.

We would hang it over a round dining table, a kitchen island or a wide hall table, anywhere a single pendant would leave the edges dim. The light sits in a circle rather than a line, so it falls kindly on round and square tables alike. Each lampholder takes a lamp of up to 20W, and the fitting will dim if you pair suitable lamps with a compatible dimmer. It suits a kitchen where brass has already been used on handles or taps, and works just as happily in a plainer room as the one warm note.

The antique brass has a softened, slightly aged tone rather than a bright polish, and the black sits quietly behind it. Keep it looking right with an occasional pass of a dry, soft cloth along the curve of each arm, and skip metal polishes and household sprays, which lift an aged finish unevenly. Dry rooms indoors are where it belongs. It carries a one year warranty, and lamps and shades are not included.
