Description

The Dipping Table Lamp pairs a layered glass globe with a polished gold cylindrical base. The 15cm-diameter sphere is built from horizontal bands of opal and tinted glass that blend from a soft grey crown through to a clear opal lower half, giving the lamp a graphic, banded silhouette when lit. A single G9 bulb sits inside the globe, casting diffused light through the layered shade.

At 17cm tall, this is a compact accent lamp suited to bedside tables, console tables, shelving runs and office desks where space is limited. The short, weighted brass cylinder keeps the centre of gravity low so the globe sits stable without a wide footprint, making it practical for narrow surfaces. The G9 fitting accepts standard capsule bulbs (sold separately), allowing the colour temperature to be matched to the surrounding room lighting.

The polished gold finish on the base provides a warm reflective contrast to the matt opal glass above, picking up tones from nearby lamps, picture frames and metalwork. The banded sphere is the visual focus: from a few metres away the layers read as distinct horizontal stripes, while from close up the joins between the glass sections become visible as fine ridges. A trailing black cable runs from the base, suiting installations where the lamp sits near a visible socket or behind furniture.
