Dipa Single Tilt Recessed Square Downlight - White

The Knightsbridge Dipa is a single-lamp recessed square downlight with a 25-degree tilt range, built from die-cast aluminium with a white powder-coated finish. The 93x93mm square faceplate sits nearly flush to the ceiling with a 3mm projection, concealing an 80x80mm cut-out beneath. The lamp holder takes a standard GU10 bulb (sold separately) and tilts within a deep square recess designed to minimise glare and spill light.

Designed for residential living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and hospitality interiors where directed accent lighting is needed without visible bulb glare, the Dipa suits ceiling voids of 130mm minimum depth. The tilt mechanism allows light to be aimed at wall art, architectural features or task surfaces without repositioning the entire fitting. The tool-free cable termination system and drop-down lamp holder make installation and lamp changes faster than traditional recessed downlights that require access from above.

The white finish integrates cleanly into white and light-coloured ceilings, while the deep square recess hides the GU10 bulb entirely when viewed from typical room angles, reducing glare in open-plan spaces and bedrooms. The die-cast aluminium construction provides structural rigidity for long-term ceiling mounting, and the Class II double-insulated design means no earth connection is required during installation. What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum 130mm void depth is needed to accommodate the 39mm recessed body and allow clearance for the GU10 lamp holder. Installations in shallower voids may not provide adequate ventilation or lamp access.

What bulb does it take?

The Dipa takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Knightsbridge produces dimmable, non-dimmable and smart-controlled GU10 options in various colour temperatures that pair with this fitting.

Can the tilt angle be locked in position?

The lamp holder tilts up to 25 degrees from vertical and holds position by friction. Once aimed, the lamp stays in position during normal use, but can be re-angled manually if needed.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Dipa is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture protection is required. It suits dry indoor locations only — living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and commercial interiors without direct water exposure.
