Description
The Knightsbridge desktop socket provides two 13A power outlets and two USB-A charging ports in a matt silver aluminium housing designed to sit above a worktop, desk or counter surface. The unit measures 217.5mm wide by 115mm deep, with a cylindrical profile that mounts through an 18mm diameter cut-out in the work surface, requiring a minimum mounting depth of 14-30mm below.
Designed for office desks, hotel room work surfaces, kitchen islands and shared workstations, the socket brings power and USB charging directly to the work area without needing to reach down to wall outlets. The 2m open-end cable terminates in a standard UK 3-pin plug, allowing the unit to be plugged into a standard wall socket or hard-wired into a fused spur. The orange backlit rocker switches provide clear on/off indication for each outlet, and the fused design adds protection for connected devices.
The matt silver aluminium construction resists fingerprints and pairs cleanly with stainless steel appliances, chrome hardware and contemporary office furniture. The black insert behind the outlets and USB ports gives defined edges to each aperture and hides the back of the faceplate. Each USB-A port provides 5V DC output up to 2400mA combined, suitable for charging phones, tablets and portable devices while the 13A outlets handle laptops, monitors and desk lamps.

Frequently Asked
What cut-out size is needed for installation?
An 18mm diameter hole is required through the worktop or desk surface. The unit requires a minimum mounting depth of 14-30mm below the surface to accommodate the recessed housing and cable exit.
What is the USB charging output?
The two USB-A ports provide 5V DC output with a combined maximum of 2400mA. This is sufficient to charge two phones simultaneously or a single tablet at standard charging speed.
How is the socket connected to mains power?
The 2m cable terminates in a standard UK 3-pin plug, allowing the unit to be plugged into a nearby wall socket. Alternatively, the cable can be hard-wired into a fused connection unit if a more permanent installation is required.
Are the switches backlit?
Yes. The orange rocker switches on each outlet are backlit when power is on, providing clear visual indication of the socket status in low-light conditions.
