Description

A small square of faceted crystal in rose gold, cut so that every edge takes a share of the light and throws it back into the room. The profile is deep rather than shallow, which gives the crystal more to work with and more sparkle for its size. What you are buying here is the crystal rim itself: the lampholder and retaining ring come as a separate component kit, and the lamp is chosen to suit.

We like these in hallways, on landings and in bedrooms, where a run of plain white trims would say nothing at all and this gives the ceiling a little jewellery instead. Because the rim is compact, several can be spaced along a corridor or over a dressing area without the ceiling looking busy. It is one we suggest for dry rooms only, so a shower area or anywhere steamy wants a sealed fitting instead. Dimming is possible with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer, neither of which comes with the rim.

The crystal is a select grade, and the rose gold runs through both the metalwork and the crystal itself, so the warm tone is consistent from any angle. For cleaning, a dry make-up brush or soft artist's brush lifts dust from between the facets better than a cloth, and any marks on the rose gold come away with a barely damp cloth once the lamp has gone cold. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the range in several rim shapes, including bubble squares in clear, green and aqua, and chamfered squares in clear, along with the matching component kits in satin black, aged brass and polished chrome, so a rose gold square can sit alongside other rims sharing the same 62mm cut-out.
