Crystal Round Downlight Rim 62mm Cut-Out 90mm Dia - Purple

This is a rim in purple crystal, cut with a deep round profile so the facets catch light from the lamp behind them and throw a little colour onto the ceiling line. It measures 90mm across the face and drops into a standard 62mm cut-out, sitting close to the surface with only a shallow bead of crystal showing. The rim is the decorative part alone: it is non-electrical, and it pairs with the IL30800 lampholder and retaining ring kit, which we stock in satin black, aged brass and polished chrome so you can match whatever else is going on above.

We reach for these where plain white bezels look too flat, so hallways, dressing rooms, alcoves above a bar or a run of shelving, and snug ceilings where the lighting is meant to be noticed rather than hidden. Purple reads as a muted, wine-like tint when the lamp is off and warms considerably once lit, which makes it a good match for deep paint colours and darker joinery. It suits dry rooms indoors rather than shower zones or anywhere exposed to steam. Dimming is possible, provided the lamp you choose is a dimmable type and is run on a compatible dimmer.

The crystal is a graded select quality, hand cut and polished, and the colour runs through the glass rather than sitting on the surface as a coating, so it will not wear thin at the edges. Keep it looking sharp by brushing dust out of the cut faces with a dry make-up brush or similar, then buffing the flat face with a lint-free cloth; nothing wet and nothing abrasive. It carries a one year warranty. Yes, as long as the lamp fitted is a dimmable type and is paired with a suitable dimmer. Neither the lamp nor a dimmer is included.

How should I clean it?
