Description

Clear K9 crystal and polished nickel make a bright pairing here, and the semi flush build keeps the fitting tight to the ceiling rather than dropping down into the room. Three candle lamps sit within the crystal, which breaks the light into small points that travel across the ceiling and the nearest walls. At 30cm across it stays compact, yet it carries some of the sparkle you would expect from something far bigger. Nothing about it feels heavy, and the crystal does the work of decoration on its own.

It is one we reach for in hallways, landings and bedrooms where a pendant would hang too low, and it earns its place over a small dining table in a room with a shallow ceiling height. Anyone after a little glamour without the full drop of a chandelier will get on with it. Fit dimmable candle lamps and pair them with a dimmer switch if you want the crystal to glow low in the evening; run at full output, the light is crisp and lively, which is what you want for getting ready or laying the table.

Cut crystal and polished metal both reward the occasional wipe: a dry soft cloth over the crystal keeps it clear, and the same cloth lifts fingermarks from the nickel, with the power off and the lamps left to cool first.
