Description

The Coniston is a 915mm linear crystal chandelier built around a French gold metal frame that holds cascading tiers of faceted clear crystal drops across its length. Eight E14 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) sit within the crystal arrangement, each rated to 20W maximum. The crystals hang in three overlapping tiers that catch and refract light from the bulbs, creating sparkle across the room when lit.

Designed for positioning over dining tables and kitchen islands in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Coniston provides both task lighting for the surface below and decorative presence. The 1760mm maximum drop allows the fitting to be suspended low enough to illuminate a dining table without glare in the sightline of seated diners, while the 380mm minimum drop suits lower ceilings or installations where greater clearance is needed. The 315mm width keeps the fitting narrow enough not to obstruct views across the table.

The French gold finish on the frame provides a warmer metallic tone than polished brass or chrome, pairing well with traditional, classical and warm contemporary interiors. The faceted crystal drops are individually hung on metal pins, so the fitting arrives with all crystals in position and does not require assembly beyond basic electrical installation. At 15.7kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or ceiling plate rated for the load. The Coniston is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

The fitting takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated to a maximum of 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to provide ambient warmth without excessive brightness.

Is the Coniston dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs and connected to a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The fitting itself supports dimming but requires both dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch to function correctly.
