Description

The Coniston is an 8-light linear chandelier with a 915mm antique brass frame from which hand-cut crystal droplets cascade in staggered rows. Eight E14 bulbs (sold separately, max 20W each) sit within the frame, with the surrounding crystals acting as refractors that scatter light across the ceiling plane and down onto the surface below.

Designed for dining tables and kitchen islands between 1600-2400mm long, the 915mm fixture length provides balanced illumination without overhang at either end. The adjustable drop runs from 380mm minimum to 1760mm maximum, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-800mm above a dining table in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m. The rectangular brass canopy measures approximately 315mm wide and conceals the ceiling rose and cable run.

The antique brass finish shows a warmer, deeper tone than polished brass, with a slightly oxidised patina that sits comfortably in both traditional and transitional interiors. Each crystal is facet-cut to maximise refraction, creating multiple points of light when the bulbs are on. At 15.7kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings capable of supporting the combined weight of the brass frame, crystal load and suspension cables.

What bulbs does the Coniston take?

The fitting takes eight E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for dining and ambient lighting.

Is the Coniston dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The brass frame and crystal elements do not affect dimmer compatibility, only the bulb type matters.

What dining table length does it suit?

The 915mm fixture length works over dining tables between 1600mm and 2400mm long. For tables shorter than 1600mm the fitting may visually dominate; for tables longer than 2400mm consider two Coniston fittings spaced evenly along the table length.

How is the crystal maintained?

Dust the crystals with a dry microfibre cloth or feather duster every few weeks. For deeper cleaning, wipe each crystal individually with a barely-damp lint-free cloth and distilled water, then dry immediately to avoid water marks. Do not spray cleaning fluids directly onto the fitting.
