Coniston 4 Light Crystal Wall Light - Antique Brass

The Coniston is a 4 light crystal wall light built around an antique brass frame that holds seven tiers of faceted crystal droplets in a waterfall formation. The frame measures 300mm wide and projects 190mm from the wall, with the crystal cascade dropping 400mm from the upper mounting plate to the lowest tier. Four E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the upper frame and light the cascade from above.

Designed for hallways, staircases and dining rooms where wall space allows a vertical focal point, the Coniston works best on walls at least 2.4m high to give the cascade visual clearance from furniture below. The antique brass finish provides a warm patina that softens the reflectivity of the clear crystal, creating a layered play of light and shadow when lit. The seven tiers are arranged in a graduated pattern, with each tier slightly wider than the one above, forming a cone shape that draws the eye downward.

Each crystal droplet is faceted to catch and refract light at different angles, creating prismatic highlights across the wall and ceiling when the bulbs are on. The antique brass frame is solid metal with a hand-applied oxidised finish that varies slightly between pieces, giving each fitting a subtly different depth of patina. At 4.5kg the fitting requires secure fixing into solid masonry or a strong timber stud — the included bracket is designed for a single vertical fixing point with the weight distributed across the upper mounting plate.

What bulbs does the Coniston take?

The fitting takes four E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K to complement the antique brass finish.

Is the Coniston dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer model — LED bulbs require LED-compatible dimmers.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing water to run into the brass frame.

What wall fixing is required?

At 4.5kg the Coniston requires secure fixing into solid masonry or a strong timber stud. The included bracket is designed for a single vertical fixing point with the weight distributed across the upper mounting plate. Use appropriate wall plugs and screws rated for the wall type and weight.
