Description
The Coniston is an 800mm acorn-shaped crystal chandelier carrying 25 E14 bulbs across multiple tiers of cascading clear crystal beads, all suspended from an antique brass frame. The acorn profile places the widest diameter at the top, tapering down to a single crystal drop at the base, creating a geometry that draws the eye upward while diffusing light outward through the crystal layers.
Designed for entrance halls, landings, formal dining rooms and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 3.2m or above, the chandelier is adjustable from a 1380mm minimum drop to a 3830mm maximum drop on installation. The chain conceals the cable run and can be shortened or extended to suit the ceiling height. The 800mm diameter and 57.3kg weight make this a substantial fitting that needs secure fixing to a joist-mounted ceiling rose or reinforced plasterboard fixing rated for the full weight.
The antique brass finish on the frame, canopy and visible chain links provides a warmer, less reflective metallic tone than polished brass, pairing well with traditional oak, walnut and mahogany joinery as well as heritage colour schemes in greens, burgundies and navy. Each tier of crystals is strung on brass wire between concentric brass rings, allowing individual crystals to shift slightly and catch light from different angles as air currents move through the room. The 25 E14 bulbs (sold separately) typically require candle-style LED or filament bulbs rated at 4-6W each for a combined output of 100-150W across the chandelier.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Coniston take?
The chandelier takes 25 E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use candle-style LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light that complements the antique brass finish.
Is the chandelier dimmable?
Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier frame itself carries no electronics — dimming is controlled by the bulbs and the wall dimmer circuit.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 1380mm and the 800mm diameter mean the chandelier suits ceiling heights of 3.2m or above. For double-height spaces or galleries with ceilings above 4.5m, the drop can be extended up to 3830mm during installation by adding chain links.
How is the 57.3kg weight supported?
The chandelier must be fixed to a joist-mounted ceiling rose or a reinforced plasterboard fixing rated for at least 60kg. Standard plasterboard fixings are not suitable. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended given the weight and the mains wiring required.
