Description

A main E27 lamp and a small integrated LED reading light share the same matt bronze body, each with its own side of a dual rocker switch, so you can run the ambient light, the reading light, or both together. The reading light is warm at 3000K and draws only 3W, giving a directed pool rather than a general wash, which is exactly what you want over a book late at night. A USB-C socket is built in too, so a phone or an e-reader can charge on the wall beside you.

We reach for this one in bedrooms, where a pair either side of the bed does the job of two table lamps and leaves the bedside surface clear. It suits guest rooms and narrow box rooms for the same reason, and it earns its place in a reading corner or a small snug where there is no floor to spare. The E27 side accepts a lamp of up to 20W, so the general light can be pitched to suit the room. Keep it to dry rooms; there is no weather sealing here for bathrooms or covered porches.

The finish is a matt bronze, a soft brown with no shine to it, which settles well against warm paint colours and older wood. A dry duster now and then is enough, and if the rocker switch picks up fingerprints, a barely damp cloth will lift them once the power is off and the fitting cool. The same design is offered in satin black, polished chrome, satin nickel, antique brass and brass gold, and we also stock the plain switched frame on its own where the reading light and socket are not wanted. At 17cm wide it stays tidy on a wall, and it carries a three year warranty. The E27 lamp is not included.
