Description

The Chord portable power bank delivers 10,000mAh capacity across two 9V DC outputs and one 5V USB-A port, designed to power guitar effect pedals and other musical accessories without mains supply. Each 9V output uses a DC5521 centre-negative jack, matching the standard configuration for most guitar pedals, and two short connection leads are included in the box.

Built for stage performers, buskers and rehearsal setups where mains power is unavailable or unreliable, the power bank removes dependency on fixed wall sockets and eliminates ground-loop hum that can occur with shared mains supplies. The single-button interface switches power to the 9V outputs or activates the built-in LED torch for making connections in low light. The USB-A port allows simultaneous charging of a smartphone or other 5V USB device while powering pedals.

The unit measures 147 x 65 x 17mm and weighs 255g, fitting into most pedalboard bags or gig cases without adding significant bulk. The white textured casing provides grip and resists surface scratches. Five LED indicator dots on the front panel show remaining charge level. The power bank recharges via the included micro USB cable, typically requiring 6-8 hours for a full charge from flat depending on the charger used.

Frequently Asked

How many pedals can it power simultaneously?

The power bank provides two 9V outputs, so it can power two pedals at the same time. The total runtime depends on the current draw of each pedal — lower-draw digital pedals may run for several hours, while high-current analogue pedals will deplete the battery faster.

Is the polarity compatible with standard guitar pedals?

Yes. Both 9V outputs use centre-negative polarity on DC5521 jacks, which matches the standard configuration for the majority of guitar effect pedals including Boss, Electro-Harmonix, MXR and similar brands.

Can the USB port charge devices while powering pedals?

Yes. The 5V USB-A output operates independently from the 9V pedal outputs, allowing you to charge a smartphone or other USB device while simultaneously powering pedals.

How is the power bank recharged?

The unit recharges via the included micro USB cable. Connect it to any standard USB charger or USB port on a computer. A full charge from flat typically takes 6-8 hours depending on the output current of the charger used.
