Description

The Cesto is a 360mm-wide crystal wall light built around a curved polished chrome frame that holds two G9 bulb fittings behind a layer of faceted Asfour crystal spheres. Each sphere is precision-cut and arranged to form a continuous curtain of crystal across the front of the fixture, with larger crystal finials positioned at the top and bottom of the chrome arms. The chrome frame curves outward from the wall in a basket shape, projecting 210mm to provide clearance for the bulbs and crystal.

Designed for living rooms, hallways and dining rooms where decorative accent lighting is wanted alongside overhead lighting, the Cesto works as a pair flanking a mirror, mantelpiece or doorway, or as a single fixture above a side table or console. The two G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal layer, so light reflects through and between the spheres rather than shining directly into the room. Dimmer-compatible bulbs allow output to be adjusted depending on time of day and ambient light levels.

The polished chrome finish on the frame gives high reflectivity that amplifies light from the bulbs and adds contrast against the clear crystal. Each Asfour crystal sphere is individually faceted to split light into prismatic highlights across walls and ceilings when the fixture is lit. The 3.4kg weight comes from the combined mass of the crystal and the solid chrome frame, so the wall mounting must be fixed into a load-bearing surface or wall anchor rather than plasterboard alone.

The fixture takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K to match traditional halogen output without the heat.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the fixture with a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains power before cleaning. Wipe each crystal sphere individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or allowing water to enter the bulb fittings.

What wall fixing is needed?

The 3.4kg weight requires wall anchors or screws fixed into a stud, solid brick or masonry. Plasterboard alone will not support the fixture safely — use cavity anchors rated for at least 5kg per fixing point if mounting onto plasterboard over a cavity.
