Description

The Cellar Left is a 2-light wall light built around an asymmetric matt black metal frame with two opal glass globe shades on horizontal arms, one positioned higher than the other. The left-facing configuration places the taller arm at the top and the shorter arm extending to the left, creating an off-centre composition that works as a solo fitting or paired with the right-facing version for symmetry across a bed or either side of a doorway.

Designed for bedside installation, hallway accent lighting, or flanking bathroom mirrors, the Cellar Left uses two G4 bulbs (sold separately) housed inside the 100mm-diameter opal glass globes. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly in all directions, providing ambient rather than directional illumination. At 280mm high and 215mm wide with a 145mm projection from the wall, the fitting suits rooms with typical 2.4m ceiling heights without dominating the wall plane.

The matt black finish on the metal frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping attention on the glowing globes rather than the structure. The asymmetric arm arrangement gives the Cellar a mid-century modern character that pairs comfortably with both minimalist and industrial-influenced interiors. The circular backplate mounts directly to a standard UK wall box and conceals the cable entry point behind the central disc.

What bulbs does it take?

The Cellar Left uses two G4 capsule bulbs, sold separately. G4 bulbs are available in LED (2-3W) and halogen (10-20W) formats. Most users choose warm-white LED G4 bulbs at 2700K-3000K for bedroom and hallway use.

Is there a right-facing version?

Yes. Mantra produces a mirror-image right-facing version of the Cellar, allowing the two to be paired symmetrically across a bed, either side of a doorway, or flanking a bathroom mirror. Search for "Cellar Right" at Niori to find the matching fitting.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is not dimmable. Dimming G4 bulbs requires both a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable G4 bulbs, which are not universally available in LED formats. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer if dimming is required.

What wall box does it need?

The Cellar mounts to a standard UK 60mm or 86mm wall box. The circular backplate is 150mm in diameter and conceals the box and cable entry behind the central disc.
