Description

This is a shade-ready frame rather than a finished light: a compact satin nickel cup that sits tight against the ceiling, with a single E27 socket at its centre and nothing else competing for attention. It is 15cm across and shallow, so it behaves more like a tidy fixing point than a fitting in its own right, and whichever shade you choose does the talking. Shades with a standard fitting will sit on it, from a small linen drum to a glass bowl or a pleated cotton. Lamps up to 20W suit it, and it will dim if you pair a dimmable lamp with a compatible dimmer.

We keep this one for rooms where a pendant would hang too low or simply get in the way: hallways, landings, box rooms, a sloped loft bedroom, the top of a stairwell, a walk-in wardrobe.
