Description

A plain gold ring with three lampholders and no shades, this is the part of the light you choose everything else around. It measures 40cm across, in an antique gold finish that reads warm and gently aged rather than bright and brassy. The holders take E27 lamps and sit evenly spaced around the ring, so a trio of shades hangs in balance. The drop adjusts over a wide span, from tucked up close to the ceiling to hanging well down into a tall room.

It suits anyone who has already settled on their shades and needs the right frame to carry them: over a long kitchen island, above a dining table, or in a hallway where a matched set of three shades does more than a single one ever could. Dimming is possible where the lamps are suitable and a compatible dimmer is used, so it can drop back to quiet evening light as easily as it serves as the main overhead. We would reach for this one in a room where the shades are the point and the metalwork should simply hold them up neatly.

The ring is finished in antique gold with a soft, aged tone rather than a mirror shine, and it is intended for indoor rooms kept dry.
