Description

This is a frame, and that is rather the point of it: a shallow circular plate that sits tight to the ceiling, with three E27 lampholders arranged around it, each waiting for a shade of your choosing. At 40cm across it reads as one broad ring of light rather than a cluster of small fittings, and the low build keeps everything close overhead. We reach for it in rooms where a pendant would hang too low but a single bare lampholder would look mean.

Hallways and landings suit it, as do bedrooms under a lower ceiling and kitchen-diners where headroom is tight. Because the shades are yours to choose, it can be dressed almost any way you like: matching drums for a quiet, uniform look, or something coarser in weave over a table. It will dim, provided the lamps you fit are dimmable and a suitable dimmer is used, so it can drop back to a soft glow in the evening without being replaced.

The satin nickel finish has a low, soft shine that stays calm against a white ceiling and sits well beside brushed door furniture or steel taps. A dry duster over the plate now and then keeps the sheen even; if it needs more, wait until the power is off and the lamps are cold, and keep abrasives and sprays away from the metal. It carries a one year warranty.
