The Bray wall light pairs a slim articulating arm with a conical shade that swivels to point light where you want it. Finished in lacquered brass, it has a pared-back look that reads as neat rather than fussy, so it earns its place without dominating the wall. A hidden on/off switch keeps the operation tidy, and the adjustable arm means you can reach the fitting out over a chair or draw it back close to the wall as the mood suits.

This is a versatile fitting for interior use. It works well beside a bed as a reading light, freeing up the space a table lamp would otherwise take, and it suits a study or reading corner where you want directed light for a book or a task. A pair either side of a fireplace or a mirror gives balance to a wall, while a single fitting in a hallway or above a favourite chair adds a warm point of light. It is rated for indoor rooms only.

The frame is built from steel and carries a lacquered brass finish. It is a mains voltage, Class I fitting that takes one E27 lamp with a maximum of 60W, so it is compatible with dimmable lamps if you pair it with a suitable dimmer. The bulb is not included, which lets you choose the brightness and colour temperature you prefer, as these depend on the lamp you fit rather than the fitting itself. To care for it, switch off, let any bulb cool, then wipe the metal with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and damp, both of which can mark the lacquer over time.
