Description

The Bowtie is a single-light bathroom wall light built around a matte black circular steel backplate, a square connecting bracket, and a frosted opal glass shade shaped like a tapered trapezoid. An integrated 3W G9 LED bulb (included) sits inside the glass shade, casting warm 3000K light through the frosted glass to provide soft, diffused illumination suitable for grooming and general bathroom lighting.

Rated IP44, the Bowtie is designed for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, where the fitting may be exposed to splashes but not direct water jets. The circular backplate measures 152mm in diameter and projects 102mm from the wall, making it suitable for positioning either side of a bathroom mirror at head height or as individual accent lighting on hallway or landing walls. The matte black finish on the steel backplate and bracket sits cleanly against white tiles, dark painted walls, or contemporary grey interiors.

The opal glass shade diffuses the 3W LED output evenly without harsh glare, making the fitting comfortable to use in close proximity to a mirror. The matte black metalwork contrasts with the frosted white glass, giving the Bowtie a defined geometric profile when viewed from the side. The fitting weighs approximately 0.9kg and mounts to a standard UK flush backplate using the fixings provided.

The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, where the fitting may be exposed to splashes but not direct water jets. It is not rated for zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower enclosure) or zone 0 (inside a bath or shower).

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Bowtie includes an integrated 3W G9 LED bulb rated at 3000K warm white. The bulb is not user-replaceable in the traditional sense, but the G9 socket allows the LED module to be replaced when the original bulb eventually reaches end-of-life.

Can it be used outside a bathroom?
