Description

The Bora is a 38cm oval LED ceiling or wall light with a matt white finish and an integrated 30W LED delivering 2400 lumens at 3000K. The oval profile measures 380mm at its longest axis with a 55mm projection from the mounting surface, making it a flush-mount fitting that sits close to the ceiling or wall without a significant overhang.

Designed to mount equally to ceilings or vertical wall surfaces, the Bora suits hallways, landings, bathrooms (check IP rating before bathroom use), bedrooms and living rooms where a broad wash of warm-white light is needed without pendant drop or visible bulbs. The 120° beam angle spreads light across the room rather than concentrating it in one direction, providing ambient illumination rather than task or accent lighting. The 30W consumption replaces approximately 200W of traditional incandescent lighting.

The matt white finish provides a neutral backdrop that blends with white or light-coloured ceilings and walls, minimising the visual weight of the fitting when installed. The oval shape softens the geometry compared to circular or square flush lights, making it particularly well-suited to contemporary and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. At 2.91kg, the fitting requires secure fixing to ceiling joists or a wall that can support the weight — follow the manufacturer's installation guidance for safe mounting.

No. The integrated 30W LED is non-dimmable and will not function correctly with dimmer switches or controls.

Can it be mounted on both ceilings and walls?

Yes. The Bora is designed for dual-mounting and works equally as a flush ceiling light or a vertical wall light. The 55mm projection from the mounting surface is the same in either orientation.

What size room does it suit?

The 2400lm output at 3000K provides sufficient ambient light for rooms of approximately 12-16 square metres (a typical bedroom or moderate-sized living room). Larger open-plan spaces may benefit from two or more fittings spaced evenly.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire fitting is replaced. Mantra provides a 3-year warranty covering LED failure within that period.
