Description

The Bon is a 35cm dome pendant light with a glossy black metal shade, topped with a stacked decorative finial of natural beech wood and grey ceramic. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade and the fitting hangs from a 150cm black cable, finished at the canopy with a small copper-toned loop above the ceramic element.

The shade measures 35cm across with a total drop of 51.5cm including the finial, suiting installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The cable can be shortened on installation to set the shade 700-800mm above a table or 750-900mm above a worktop. The downward-facing dome focuses light onto the surface below rather than dispersing it across the room, which makes Bon better as task or feature lighting than as a primary ambient source.

The combination of glossy black metal, pale wood and off-white ceramic gives the pendant a Scandinavian-influenced character that pairs comfortably with both pared-back contemporary interiors and warmer Nordic schemes. Hung in a row of two or three above a long island or dining table, the repeating wood-and-ceramic finials read as a small piece of jewellery for the ceiling. The fitting accepts any standard E27 bulb up to the wattage rating in the Specification tab, with filament or globe-style bulbs working particularly well behind the open base.

The Bon takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. The product tags suggest an E27 GLS filament bulb pairs well with the open base of the dome, but any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament lamp will fit.
