Description

This BNC plug pairs a nickel-plated zinc body with a gold-plated centre contact pin and screw-down cable termination for 6.5mm outer diameter coaxial cables. The screw termination secures the centre conductor directly to the contact pin, while a separate braid clamp fixes the cable shield to the body, providing a secure mechanical and electrical connection without needing solder.

Designed for CCTV camera runs, analogue video patching and RF installations where BNC connectors are the standard interface, the plug accepts RG59 and similar 75-ohm coaxial cables with a 6.5mm jacket. The screw termination allows field assembly without specialist tools. A small flat-blade screwdriver is sufficient to tighten the centre pin and braid clamp screws on-site during installation or repair.

The gold plating on the centre contact reduces oxidation and maintains signal integrity over repeated mating cycles, while the nickel-plated body provides corrosion resistance in indoor and sheltered outdoor enclosures.
