Description

A plain grey cylinder shade sits over antique brass metalwork, held close to the ceiling so the room stays clear overhead. The drum is lined in white laminate, which lifts and spreads the light rather than letting it pool, while the woven face softens what comes through. There is no flare or taper to the shade, just a straight-sided cylinder above a shallow ceiling cup, and the warm tone of the brass reads against the cool grey cloth. At 40cm across it gives a broad, steady wash of ambient light from a single E27 lamp.
