Baymont E27 Pendant Light 60cm - Polished Chrome

A broad faux silk drum in midnight black, lined in green olive so the light takes on a warm cast as it falls. Below the shade sits a frosted acrylic diffuser with a polished chrome rim, which spreads the light and keeps the lamp out of direct view from underneath. The suspension and ceiling cup are polished chrome to match. It takes an E27 lamp, and we would reach for an LED GLS A60 of up to 20W here; dimming is possible where both the lamp and the dimmer suit it.

At 60cm across this is a shade with real presence, and it wants space around it: over a long dining table, in a stairwell, down a wide hallway, or centred in a bedroom with height to spare. The drop can be run out to 3.35m where a ceiling is high, or kept short over a table. We would choose it for a room that already carries colour or pattern, because the deep black cylinder holds its own without fighting anything. In a small room it would sit too heavy.

The fabric is a dual faux silk, black on the outside and olive within, and the acrylic below is frosted rather than clear. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, well away from steam and splashes. For upkeep, brush the fabric gently to lift dust, then wipe the diffuser with a soft cloth, barely damp, once the lamp has gone cold. It carries a one year warranty. Which lamp should I use?

One E27 lamp, with an LED GLS A60 the recommended choice, rated no higher than 20W. The lamp is not supplied.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, provided you pair a dimmable lamp with a compatible dimmer. Neither is included.

What are the shade and drop dimensions?

The shade measures 600mm in diameter by 220mm deep, and the drop runs from a minimum of 430mm to a maximum of 3350mm.
