How do I clean the acrylic diffuser?

Wait until the fitting is cold, then use a dry, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive creams, alcohol and solvent cleaners, as these can dull or craze acrylic.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20 and should be kept to dry indoor rooms.
