Description

A wide drum shade in ivory pearl faux silk sits close to the ceiling on a polished chrome frame, with a frosted acrylic diffuser closing the underside so the lamps read as one soft wash rather than a row of bright points. It measures 60cm across, which gives it presence in a room without taking much drop below the ceiling line. The inner face of the shade is a white laminate, and the diffuser is trimmed in polished chrome to match the frame.

This is the one we reach for in a hall or on a landing where a pendant would hang too low, and it works just as well over a dining table in a room with a lower ceiling, or in a bedroom that wants even light rather than pooled light. Five E27 sockets sit behind the diffuser, each taking up to 20W, and an LED GLS lamp is the sensible choice for a fitting closed off underneath. Dimming is possible if you pair dimmable lamps with a compatible dimmer, bought separately.

The frame is metal in a bright polished chrome, the shade is faux silk over a laminate lining, and the diffuser is acrylic, frosted to soften the output. For cleaning, drop the power at the switch, then lift dust from the fabric with a soft brush or the upholstery tool on a vacuum; the chrome prefers a dry cloth and nothing wet. It is meant for ordinary indoor rooms, kept away from steam and splashes. It carries a one year warranty.
